Houston Wallpapering supports brand teams, restaurants, retailers, and designers across every stage of a custom wallpaper project — from the first creative concept through file preparation, print coordination, and the final installed wall.
When Off-the-Shelf Wallpaper Is Not the Answer
A printed catalog roll fits most rooms. It does not fit every commercial brand. When a project needs a wall that reflects a specific identity — a storefront logo treatment, a hospitality signature mural, a restaurant interior that tells a story — the work moves from selection into creative production. That is the service this page describes.
What We Create
The range of custom commercial wallcoverings we help design, coordinate, and install:
Brand Murals
Single-image walls that translate a brand identity into installed surface — logo treatments, photo-based murals, illustrated environments.
Restaurant Murals
Designed-from-brief interiors that tell the story of the cuisine, the heritage, or the location. Cultural references, illustrated worlds, signature dining-room walls.
Retail Storefront Graphics
Custom-printed letter panels, window treatments, and interior storefront walls for retail openings and brand activations.
Commercial Wallpaper Panels
Large-format multi-panel installations engineered to specific wall dimensions, with panel layout planning and field-aligned assembly.
From Concept to Wall
Most clients arrive with one of three starting points: finished artwork ready to print, a moodboard and a brief, or a clear concept without any visuals yet. We support all three. For projects that begin with just an idea, we work through creative concept, design direction, file preparation, and print coordination before the install crew ever opens a roll.
The Process
Creative Concept
We start with a brief: brand identity, target audience, room conditions, and the story the wall should tell. We propose creative directions before any design work begins.
Design Direction
Concept artwork, mood references, layout sketches, color palette. Revisions until the design is right for the brand and the room.
File Preparation
High-resolution artwork prepared to print specs — resolution, color profile, panel layout, bleed, and safe areas matched to the substrate.
Print Coordination
We coordinate custom printing with print partners we have worked with for years. The print quality matches the brand standard; the substrate matches the use case.
Panel Planning
Engineered panel layout for the specific wall dimensions. Pattern continuity, seam placement, fixture clearances, and on-site assembly sequence all confirmed before production.
Commercial Installation
Field-aligned installation by our Houston team. Type II vinyl for high-traffic walls. Tear sheets, fire-rating certificates, and certificates of insurance available as standard.
Commercial Applications
Where designed-from-zero wallpaper goes in:
Restaurants & Hospitality
Dining-room signature walls, lobby murals, private-room treatments, brand-environment installations for hotels and resorts.
Retail & Quick-Service
Storefront letter panels, customer-facing brand walls, opening campaigns, pop-up installations.
Corporate & Brand HQs
Reception walls, conference-room murals, employee-experience environments, brand timelines and storytelling walls.
Specialty & Wellness
Salons, fitness studios, healthcare spaces, lifestyle brands — environments where the wall is part of the customer story.
Case Studies
Four recent custom projects across two cities and two industries.
Chick-fil-A — Houston
Quick-service retail · custom letter panels
Custom letter wallpaper for a Chick-fil-A location in Houston. Multi-panel installation produced and installed on a tight construction schedule, with precise alignment across the storefront wall and adjacent surfaces. Panels A, B, and C were staged, sequenced, and field-aligned to keep the brand letterforms continuous from one panel to the next.
Scope: panel production coordination · field-aligned multi-panel install · storefront wall · pre-opening timeline.
Chick-fil-A — Dallas
Quick-service retail · high-traffic interior
High-traffic Chick-fil-A interior wallcovering installation in Dallas. Materials selected for cleanability and longevity under quick-service traffic, with installation scheduled around buildout phasing. Commercial wallcovering installed across the customer-facing interior wall.
Scope: high-traffic Type II wallcovering · interior brand environment · scheduling around operations.
Carbones y Brasa — Houston
Restaurant · commercial wallcovering
Carbones y Brasa is a Peruvian chicken restaurant in Houston. We coordinated material specification and handled installation of commercial wallcovering across the dining-room walls, matched to the operation’s cleanability and traffic requirements.
Scope: material specification · commercial wallcovering install · dining-room interior.
Peruvian-Themed Restaurant — Houston
Restaurant · large-format custom mural · designed from zero
A large-format custom mural for a Peruvian-themed restaurant project in Houston. The brief: a wall that celebrates Peruvian heritage alongside U.S. cultural symbols, designed and installed from scratch. We worked through creative concept, design direction, and print coordination, then handled the installation across the dining-room feature wall.
Scope: design from zero · cultural illustration · print coordination · feature-wall installation.
High-Traffic Materials
Commercial walls take more abuse than residential walls. The material under the artwork matters as much as the artwork itself.
Type II Vinyl (20oz)
The commercial workhorse. Washable, scrubbable, abrasion-resistant. Standard for retail, restaurant, healthcare, and hospitality.
Class A Fire Rating
Most Type II vinyls meet ASTM E84 Class A fire-rating standards required by code in commercial spaces. We confirm spec on every project.
Cleanability Tested
Hospitality and healthcare environments require disinfectant-compatible substrates. We specify materials rated for the cleaning protocols your space uses.
Custom Substrate Options
For mural projects, the substrate is matched to the room: matte for soft-light interiors, satin for high-traffic, with adhesive selected for the wall condition.
Custom wallpaper at the commercial level is less like buying paper and more like producing a piece of architecture. Concept, design, file, print, panel plan, install — every step has to land. That is the work.
