It is sold by the double roll — one purchase is a continuous double-roll bolt. When you estimate quantity, work out how many single rolls you need first, then order half that many double rolls, rounding up.

It is a random/free match with no repeat to line up. A random match means the strips do not have to be aligned to each other, which makes installation quicker and wastes less material.

Measure the width and height of each wall, add the areas together, and divide by the coverage of one roll — then add roughly 10–15% for the pattern repeat and trimming. Yes. Lillian August Paperweave is a natural fiber wallcovering, so shading, tone and weave vary from roll to roll — that is inherent to the material and is not a defect. Hang the strips in sequence and, wherever possible, from the same order, and expect the seams to be visible by design on a grasscloth-style material.

Lillian August Paperweave is cleaned by vacuuming gently with a soft brush attachment rather than by washing. Do not wet it — water marks natural fibers permanently — and blot any spill immediately instead of rubbing it.
